Frequently Asked Questions

Agile Off Road is here to answer your Sprinter questions. Feel free to post new questions in the comments at the bottom of the page!

Like many owners of conversion vans, we’ve noticed how dramatically the ride quality of the stock suspension diminishes once you build your rig out and load it with equipment. We’ve solved these problems before, and our new Mercedes-Benz Ride Improvement Package (RIP Kit for short) now solves it for our beloved Sprinter owners.

With a factory offset wheel (50-54mm) a 2019+ 2WD Sprinter 2500 can safely run 245/70-R17 tires without fender modification. With the installation of Agile Mini-Fenders 265/70-R17 tires fit any Sprinter wheel without rubbing.

* We now offer a VS30 Sprinter Rear Fender Trim Template which allows for fitment of 285/70-R17 tires. We also offer in-house calibration services for Oversized Tire Calibration (VS30 only) which allows retainability of all factory Sprinter features like adaptive cruise while using a larger-than-stock tire size (up to 35” tires).

The largest recommended tires sizes for the third generation 2019+ Mercedes Sprinter 3500 (VS30) are:

  • 2WD Sprinter 3500: 235/85-R16
  • 4x4 Sprinter 3500: 235/85-R16

The Agile Off Road Sprinter Big Brake upgrade kit fits 2014-2018 (NCV3) & 2019+ (VS30) Sprinter 2500 4x4 vans with 17-inch (or larger) wheels.

The largest recommended tires sizes for the second generation (2007-2018) Mercedes Sprinter are:

  • 2WD Sprinter 2500: 265/70-R17
  • 4x4 Sprinter 2500: 275/70-R17
  • 2WD Sprinter 3500: 235/85-R16
  • 4x4 Sprinter 3500: 235/85-R16

The ACGB Replacement Fuel Tank is compatible with all 2nd generation (NCV3 2007 – 2018) & 3rd generation (VS30 2019+) Mercedes Sprinter 2500 & 3500s. This tank’s footprint starts where the factory tank is located and extends all the way thru the cavity outside of the driver side frame rail. Because of this no heaters, tanks, or batteries can be mounted on that side under the van.

Our Auxiliary Fuel Tanks are a great alternative for those looking to extend the Sprinter’s fuel range.

No, not at this time. Because Mercedes makes 4 wheel drive an option from the factory we felt it was best to leave the design & installation of the system to them so we could focus on improving other areas such as suspension.
